What are three things that you want to accomplish or do before you die?
- Be a 4 Hour Marathon Pacer - I think most middle of the pack runner's strive for the elusive 4 hour marathon and once I have comfortably broken it myself I really, really, really want to pace an entire group of would be 4 hour, anxious, determined, finisher's who would appreciate my passion and excitement as I lead them to the finish line.

Take a trip to Paris - I have never traveled out of the country but for as long as I have known of Paris I have longed to go there; see the Eiffel Tower, go to the Louvre, spend hours roaming the streets and seeing all the sights and capturing the magic of the City of Love. Preferrably with someone special.

Start a family and inspire my children - What greater goal is there than to be an inspiration to your family? Besides I need to repopulate the world with Gingers because I hear we're going extinct.
I know a ton of people have already been tagged to do this so if you haven't, then count this as your tag... What are three things that you want to accomplish or do before you die?

Nice list- pacers rock!!!
And by all means, save the Gingers!!!
Save the Gingers indeed. Please reproduce copiously.
Cool List! Being a pacer would be awesome!!
Gingers-ha!! I would also LOVE to be a marathon pacer! I bet you would be the funnest pacer ever! You've really never left the country-not even Canada or Mexico? You definitely deserve Paris!
That is such a great list! I think a sub four hour marathon is in your future :-)
Good luck with your Pacer Goal! A worthy endeavor if there ever was one.
I am not sure which marathon you are targeting, but do some research first. I know Houston requires that you have 10 H-Town Marathons under your belt. Other marathons are not so stringent. Of course, I have seen some pretty bad pacers in my time.
There is quite a bit that goes into being a Pacer whether it is for a single person or a group of runners. Pacers cannot have a bad day and Pacers typically do not pace to their top speed. I ran with a fabulous pacer for about 13 miles at Houston one year. He had done 21 previous Houston Marathons and was pacing the 4:45 group. His typical marathon was around 4:00 - but he was willing to give that up once a year to make his hometown marathon a great experience for as many people as possible.
You'll have to announce when and where you are going to pace because I'll be there!
You're right the world does need more Gingers!
Great list. I'm gonna thing about mine and get back to you.
I have friends helping the Ginger cause. They are two brunettes who have created two redheaded children. I see more in their future. I guess it runs in both their families because they both have nieces and nephews in the red.
I love your list!
Paris is spectacular! I had the privilege of living in England for a few years so we got to Paris often.
Totally agree with you on the kids one! Nothing better.
As for the pacing, yes very noble of you! Not sure I'd want others depending on me for a 4hr marathon, then again maybe that't the pressure I need!
have a great day!
Great post!
You will be an AWESOME 4:00 pacer one day... how about Chicago 2012? I'll be there for my 30th Birthday. :)
Ahhh, Paris. I want to go SO BADLY.
I agree! Save the gingers!
Being a pacer always seems so daunting to me. Kudos and good luck doing it :)
Great list! Paris is beautiful.
Paris is awesome -- I bet they have a marathon there. :)
IMO, The BEST Hot Chocolate in the whole entire world is in Paris. I would go on a trip just to get a cup. Angelina on Rue du Rivoli, just down the street from the Louvre and across the street from the Ferris Wheel. I will never forget!
Nice list! It's hard to pick just three, huh? I did a semester in Paris when I was in college - simply amazing, although I think as an older adult it might be ever more so. I was pretty fixated on missing my boyfriend and other 20 year old musings, so I probably didn't get as much out of it. And having kids??? The best thing you will ever do!
Great list! I need a good trip.
Of course I'll go to Paris with you! Why didn't you ask before? LOL! (Wait did you not mean me?)
I'll miss you tomorrow too Boo. Have a great run and weekend. :)
I was tagged too! Check out my Tuesday post for my deep answers :)
2 weeks from now I will be on my way to the airport! It is tu-tu time!!!!!
"Besides I need to repopulate the world with Gingers because I hear we're going extinct."
Bahahah! Sadly I don't think there's much hope for our kids to be redheaded...his features are definitely dominant!
I do a lot of traveling and Paris is top on my list to see but have yet to make it there. I've been in England a few times now and just don't have the time to jump on a train/plane to Paris for the weekend! I will have to do that one day!
We do need more gingers in our life! We hope that if we are ever able to have children our little girl would come out with a head full of red hair! :)
OMG! I just read that article! At first, in the beginning, I thought they were serious and I was nervous! I'm a redhead too and want to make sure we stay strong! But thank goodness he goes on to say that we're probably here to stay, if not for anything, our temper will keep us in sight! :)
Great list, Paris is beautiful and romantic and I am sure you, B.o.B. and Spike will have a great time together :)
Oh, and a four hour pacer - that is wicked cool! I might have to come and cheer you on!!! Happy Thursday!
"I need to repopulate the world with Gingers " - with YOUR enthusiasm and charm!! ;) hahaha
p.s. you can come pace me for any race you want!! I imagine we'd chirp chirp the whooole time and the race would FLY by! YES - your'e hired! ;)
oooh a pacer; that's a neat goal, I've never thought of doing that!
Foe me, I want to live in Hawaii before I die
Great goals! I'm especially happy to hear you will be helping the effort to repopulate the earth with more redheads. :)
Oh you would be an AWESOME pacer!! Follow the little red runner... And yes, you MUST pass on your freckles and pretty red DNA to kidlets..
Hmmm 3 things to do before I die??
1. Write a book and have it published.
2. Travel to Ireland (possibly to run in the Dublin Marathon).
3. Run a Marathon with my hubby and boys.. Would that not be the BEST finish line photo?? Course will be years down the road but WOW! **I just thought of that right now, it is HARD for me to imagine my kids as grown up but now I have a vision in my head...funny..
Good post... Alas, I have been to Paris. A great city! My dream destination right now is.. Istanbul.
i don't get #3... no babies!!! ;)
just kidding. you can certainly have all the babies. i will play with them but when they get a poopy diaper, well, that's all you.
i can relate to the pacing goal and am looking forward to my first pacing gig in May, but you lost me with the babies! :-)
I have a 25% chance of bearing red-headed children. Of course, they'll be really tan and the red will be sorta exotic like me, but that darn whiteboy I married has dominant redhead genes ... so we'll see one day, huh? I may just help you repopulate the earth in my small way .. hehe!
Amazing list!
I would really like to complete a MAJOR race. Like an ultra or ironman or something.
I also want to travel the world and start a family one day!
I think you'd be an excellent pacer, you're so bubbly and cheerful and full of inspiration. One pacer I had talked up a storm and was annoying as all get-out - hahah. You'd be perfect!
3 Very Noble Goals!
Great list, Ginger lol. Some awesome goals you have to reach!
I am stealing the question!!
Great list!! I think you'd make a great pacer too!! Traveling is something I want to do a lot of too, Paris is on my list, along with Australia :)
omg, start producing baby redhead/spikes ASAP (after you rock your marathon of course). :p
I used to have a huuuuge thing for redheads when I was in HS. And I think little red haired kids are the cutest thing EVAH. Unless nick is secretly a ginger (heck he's pale and freckly enough!) I don't think I'm getting em. sniffles.
Maybe we could swap one out? just an idea.... ha.
Nice post!
I love watching people coming across marathon finish lines at all the 'round' times (BQs and hour marks) and see how hard they are working/how happy they are! I would be so nervous to lead them though!
hmm, I'll have to think of my top 3 things. I have many more than that on my list!
Paris is indeed fabulous. I have been lucky enough to visit twice.
I'd like to go back and do the Paris Marathon. Is it sad that my travel plans now include the thought "I wonder if there's a race I could do there..." or, in the case of Paris and Berlin, the entire travel plan revolves around a marathon...?
Great list. First, I can't imagine ever being a pacer since I can't ever run two consecutive miles at the same pace. My miles are usually about 10-20 seconds different from one another. Second, I've been to Paris and it's amazing. I would love to go back because I was 18 when I went and too young to appreciate it's beauty. Third, I love how you use the work "ginger"!
a world without redheads would be a very sad one... i say procreate and inspire! HAHA!
nice list.
love the list!
i would love to qualify for boston, travel through eurpoe and start a family!
Paris is amazing, romantic, and food friendly. You might as well incorporate a few other countries if you go to Europe. Continuing the food friendliness--go to Italy!
Awesome list and something that I consider often. It is important to live in the moment and appreciate what you have and the people that support you, your goals/inspirations.
You would make a phenomenal pacer!
I have a feeling you will be a HUGE inspiration to your children when you have them!
You have such great energy and enthusiasm you would be a GREAT pacer! I can see it now. Paris is on my to-do list for sure, as well as the other countries of the world I haven't made it to yet! One of my little sisters is a ginger, maybe I should have her read that article!
Wow I would definitely have to think about that a bit. But I think you would be such a good pacer and a fun mom too! And I've been to Paris and agree you should go :) So all in all I approve of your 3 life goals haha
Those are 3 pretty awesome goals!
Funny you should mention gingers, because when I was a kid I always wished I had red hair. My mom is a red head and I always thought they were the prettiest! I say populate the gingers!
I liked your last one and agree that bring more redheads to the world is important. I brought 2 new ones in the world, myself. And guess what? The running is already rubbing off on the older one. So win, win. :)
My half-asian husband and I have managed to give the world a redhead. Don't ask me how but we did! I heart redheads!
When you become a four hour pacer, let me know and I will totally be in your pace group! I know I have a sub 4 in me. Seriously, though, let me know!
10/10/10...
Great list. Helping to pace would be very cool because you know you are helping them accomplish a goal of theirs.
ahah looks like you're starting a "Save the Gingers" movement ;)
i love your goals. take me with you to Paris, k?
You should run Marathon du Medoc on your way to Paris! It's a 26.2-mile race and wine tasting tour through the most famous vineyards of France. Every year 59 châteaus host 9,000 runners. Rest stops along the route serve refreshments as fresh-shucked oysters and grilled beef.
The post-party is supposed to be AMAZING. :)

GREAT add on the pacer. I would LOVE to be a pacer. Although, I've always wondered.... Do pacers ever get to take pee breaks? I seem to be on a marathon pee-break streak...
Pacer goal? That's different, it would actually be kind of cool! I'd join your group to be led by the redhead!
I had some corny goals. One of mine is to hike up Machu Picchu.
You'll be happy to know I have an "almost" ginger ... depending on the sunlight and how its cut, he's definitely a ginger, I wish I'd a had girl ginger though!
I'm going to limp around the Louve after the London marathon - can't wait!
Just for the record, you would be the best pacer EVER. I'm going to make you to pace me to 4:00 someday :)
I will be glad to help with the last two!
